Prathom is a growing collection of small, free utilities — word counters, PDF tools, image converters, text cleaners, and generators for people making things online.
The one thing that makes it different
Every tool page says exactly where the work happens and what it costs you.
Most tools process your file or text on our server. Counted on 1 September 2026 against the code each page actually runs: 353 do, and 33 do not. What you send is deleted as soon as the operation finishes, and any result within 30 minutes. Nothing is stored, nothing is read by a person, nothing is used to train anything, and no account is required for any of it.
The 33 that transmit nothing are every calculator, every developer tool, and nine others — the color picker, the palette sampler, the favicon generator, the SVG optimizer, image-to-base64, the non-AI background remover, find-and-replace, the lorem generator and the subtitle converter.
You do not have to take either claim on trust. Every tool page carries a badge above the tool — "Runs in browser" or "Server-side" — before you paste anything. And you can check it yourself in ten seconds: turn off your internet connection and use the tool. If it still works, nothing was sent.
This section used to say the reverse, describing browser processing as the rule and the converters as the exception. That was true when it was written. The processing libraries moved to the server and this page did not move with them, which is worth admitting rather than editing away.
How the tools are checked
Prathom is maintained as an independent project by the people who build the tools. Before a converter is published, it is run against real fixtures and its output is checked for the requested format, not just for a successful process exit. Browser tools are checked for the edge cases they describe, and worked examples are checked against the code that produces them.
The editorial label on the blog identifies the site’s maintainers rather than inventing a contributor profile. Corrections and broken results can be sent through the contact page and are used to improve the relevant tool.
How it is paid for
The tools are free and are funded by advertising. Ads never appear above a tool, and never between you and a result. If a tool ever needs a paid tier, the free version stays free.
What gets built next
Roughly by what people search for and cannot find a good version of. If a tool you want is missing, tell us — that is the most useful thing you can send.
