In a space where clearances are measured in single centimeters, that is the one error that matters.
Blur Background
There is a specific artifact that gives away almost every fake background blur, and once you know it you cannot stop seeing it. A faint glow around the subject, the color of the subject, spreading a few pixels into the blurred area. It happens because the blur was calculated using pixels that belonged to the subject, and it is entirely avoidable if the mask is grown by at least the radius of the blur. This one is.
Cartoon Generator
Cartooning is two operations, not one. Simplifying throws information away. Exaggerating puts identity back, by pushing whatever makes a face unusual further in the direction it already leans — which is why a good caricature can be more recognizable than the photograph it came from. This workflow asks for the simplifying half and asks for the features to stay faithful, and the gap between those two requests explains most of what you will see.
Clay Style
Clay is shaped by fingers, and a fingertip is about a centimeter and a half across. That single fact explains almost everything about how clay figures look — the rounded forms, the absent detail, the way features are enlarged until they are big enough to be pushed into place. Nothing smaller than the tool can exist. When your photograph is redrawn as clay, that limit is applied to it, and what it removes is worth knowing before you choose the photograph.
Clothing Color Changer
Change the color of clothing in a photo, and keep the new color close enough to sell against. Recoloring a garment for a listing quietly makes a promise: somebody sees sage and orders sage, and if what arrives is closer to olive the parcel comes back at your cost along with a note about the photo. Comic art looks the way it does because of a printing press. Heavy black outlines existed because cheap presses could not register color plates accurately. Empty Room Staging
People are bad at judging the size of an empty room, and they are bad in a consistent direction: without anything of known size in it, a bare room reads as smaller than the same room furnished. Agents have known this for decades, which is why staging exists at all. It also means a staged photograph is doing something more consequential than looking nice — it is supplying the scale reference a viewer uses to decide whether their bed fits. Get the furniture's size wrong and you have not decorated a picture, you have misinformed a buyer.
Face Enhancement
Every face recovery model carries a strong idea of what a face looks like, and that idea is what fills the gap when the pixels run out. The consequence is a sliding scale rather than a yes or no. A large soft face is mostly measured and slightly assembled. A face eighty pixels wide in a group shot is mostly assembled and slightly measured. Knowing roughly where you sit on that scale tells you what the output is worth.
Facebook Cover
A Facebook cover is one file shown as two different pictures. Desktop crops it wide and shallow; a phone crops it narrower and taller, from the same upload, and you will only ever be looking at one of them. Whatever survives both crops is your actual cover. Everything else is material that exists in the file and is invisible to half the people who visit.
Fix Blur
Blurry is not one condition. Camera shake, a missed focus, a moving subject, and a soft lens each spread light differently, and the differences decide what is recoverable. One of them contains enough structure that recovery is a real operation. The others require the missing detail to be manufactured, which produces confident, sharp, plausible results that are not what was in front of the camera.
Furniture Replacement
People cannot tell you what is wrong with a composited object, and they can tell instantly that something is. The reason is nearly always contact: the shadow under the new piece points the wrong way, or is too sharp for a room lit by a window, or is missing entirely, so the object hovers a centimeter above a floor it is supposed to be standing on. Shape, color, and texture are the parts that look hard and are handled well. The shadow is the part nobody thinks about and the one the eye checks first.
Generate Lifestyle Scene
The reason a composite looks fake is almost never the cut-out. Edges are easy now. What gives it away is that the product was lit by a softbox to its left and the scene it has been dropped into is lit by a window on the right, so the shadows disagree, the highlights sit on the wrong faces, and the color temperature of the two halves does not match. Generating a beautiful scene and pasting a product into it reproduces that problem perfectly. Generating the scene outward from the product does not.
Gradient Background
A gradient is the single hardest thing to store in an ordinary image file, and almost nobody knows it until they see the stripes. Everything else in a photograph has texture and detail to hide the coarseness of eight bit color. A smooth ramp has nothing to hide behind, so the steps between one value and the next become visible bands — and the wider and subtler your gradient, the worse it gets.
HDR Enhance
HDR names two different things and only one of them is available to a finished file. It is a capture technique, where several exposures are bracketed and merged so that both the sky and the shadows are recorded properly. It is also a look — deep local contrast, textured clouds, visible detail everywhere. This page produces the look. It cannot produce the capture, because the moment for that has passed.

Open any icon set that feels professional and the individual drawings are unremarkable. What makes it work is that every icon in it was built to the same rules: the same stroke width, the same corner radius, the same optical size inside the same invisible box, the same decision about whether shapes are outlined or filled. Your profile photo sits over the lower left, the page furniture takes the bottom edge, and the mobile app crops the sides away entirely. The thing a business calls its logo is not really an image. It is a specification that has to survive being embroidered on a shirt, etched into a sign, printed in one color on an invoice, and rendered as a sixteen-pixel favicon that somebody recognizes in a row of twenty tabs. A model can hand you a picture that satisfies none of those and looks better than most of them on a screen. Knowing what the picture is missing is the difference between using this well and paying a designer twice.
Logo Upscaler
Enlarge a logo without the invented detail a photo upscaler gets away with. Upscaling a photograph works because nobody can check it: a model invents plausible bark on a tree and no viewer holds the original tree in their head, so plausible is indistinguishable from correct. A logo is the opposite case. Of all the image categories here, this is the one where fidelity to the source matters most and where the temptation to improve it is most misplaced.
Multi-Angle Product Images
Ask for the other side of a box and you are asking for something the file does not contain. The back of that box has ingredients on it, or a barcode, or a different language, and none of that is anywhere in the pixels you uploaded. A model will still produce a back, because producing a plausible back is what it does, and the result will carry text-shaped marks that mean nothing. The distinction that matters is not whether the render looks good. It is whether the surface it shows was ever photographed.
OCR Preprocessing
This does not read your document. It conditions the picture so that whatever reads it afterwards has an easier job, which is a different and much more reliable thing to offer. Recognition engines fail in a small number of specific ways — glyphs below their minimum size, soft edges, ink too close in tone to paper, and paper texture mistaken for marks — and each step here targets one of them. No model runs, so no character is ever invented.
Oil Painting
Oil paint is a physical material. Its whole character comes from sitting above the canvas — ridges that catch light, edges where a loaded brush stopped, color laid over color rather than mixed into it. A flat image cannot have any of that, so what this produces is a picture of those things: highlights painted where a ridge would be. It is convincing, and the two places it stops being convincing are both predictable.
Pencil Sketch
This does not apply a sketch filter to your photo. It reads the photo, then draws a new image that depicts the same scene in graphite — with hatching that follows form, tonal values built up in layers, and the grain of paper underneath. The difference between redrawing and filtering explains almost everything about the result, including why the output is a different size to your input and why running it twice gives you two different drawings.
Pinterest Pin
Pinterest behaves like a feed and works like a search engine. A Pin is not consumed and discarded the way a Story or a post is — it gets indexed, surfaced against queries, and saved by people who find it months after it went up. That changes what a good image is. It has to still make sense to a stranger with no context, long after whatever occasioned it has stopped being current.
Pixel Art
This redraws your photo in the visual language of pixel art — a limited palette, blocky clusters, silhouettes that read at a glance. What it does not do is produce true pixel art, and the distinction is worth understanding before you use the result in a game or an icon. Real pixel art is a small image where every pixel was placed. This is a large image that looks like one.
Product Background
This isolates the product in your photo and composites it onto a flat, very light gray field at the same pixel dimensions as the original. It is a small, predictable operation and this page is deliberate about its one real limitation: the product arrives with no contact shadow, which is what makes a cutout look pasted rather than photographed. Whether that matters depends on where the image is going.
Receipt Cleanup
A till receipt is printed by heating a coated paper rather than by putting ink on it, and that coating never stops reacting. Warmth, sunlight, friction, and the plastic of a wallet all keep developing it, which is why a receipt goes uniformly gray and then blank. Nothing recovers a faded one. The copy you make today is permanently the best copy that will ever exist, and that fact is more useful than anything on this page.
Reflection Generator
The standard way to fake a reflection is to duplicate the subject, flip it vertically, and fade it out, and it is wrong in a way most people can feel and few can name. A real reflection is a photograph taken from a camera position mirrored through the surface, which is below the floor looking up. From there you see the underside of things: the bottom of the bottle, the base of the shoe, the underneath of the lid. The flipped copy shows the top of the bottle again, upside down, which is a view that does not exist from anywhere.
Remove Acne
This is the least controversial retouch there is, because a breakout is temporary by definition and a photograph is usually trying to say something less specific than what your skin was doing that week. The difficulty is not ethical, it is technical, and it comes from a single awkward fact: a spot and a pore are almost the same size, so a tool aggressive enough to remove one tends to remove the other.

Nobody has ever complained about the middle of a cutout. The subject comes out and the background goes, and that part has been solved for years. What people notice is a fringe of the old background still clinging to a shoulder, or hair that has turned into a solid shape with a jagged outline. Every meaningful decision in this job happens within about ten pixels of the boundary, which is why this page runs at four megapixels.
Remove Compression Artifacts
Compression damage is unusual among image faults because it is completely predictable. It is not random noise scattered by chance — it is a grid, laid down in eight pixel squares by an algorithm that made the same decision everywhere it ran out of budget. That structure is what makes it removable, and it is also why a single careless save at the end undoes the whole job.
Remove Document Shadows
Photograph a page and you photograph your own shadow with it. A threshold cannot fix that, because a threshold only knows how dark a pixel is, and shaded paper is darker than sunlit ink. What separates them is not brightness but size — shadows are broad and change slowly, letters are small and change abruptly. This runs an operation that sorts by exactly that, and no model of any kind is involved.
Remove Dust
Dust is not a thing that looks a particular way. It is a small mark you did not want, and the only difference between a speck of dust and a mole, a distant bird, or a star is that you wanted one of them there. Nothing in this workflow can know which is which, so it works from context and probability rather than certainty. That is the whole story of what it fixes and what it takes.
Remove Logo
Most people who need this are not trying to take anything. They are trying to avoid implying something — that a brand endorsed a shoot, that a company is connected to a listing, that a model in a stock photograph is wearing sponsored kit. Debranding is one of the few mark-removal jobs where the cautious choice is to remove rather than to keep, and it is also the harder one technically.
Remove Noise
A traditional denoiser subtracts noise from your photo. This does something different — it repaints the picture with the noise absent, at just over half strength, and hands you the repainting. That distinction explains both why it clears grain a filter cannot touch and why fine texture sometimes comes back invented rather than recovered. It also gives the same answer every time you run it, which for a repair tool is a deliberate choice.
Remove Objects
Nothing here is erased. Whatever stood behind the object you want gone was never photographed, so it cannot be recovered — it has to be invented, from what surrounds it and from what scenes like yours usually look like. That means the object leaving is the easy half and never the part that fails. What fails is the replacement, and it fails in ways you can learn to spot in about five seconds.
Remove People
A person occupies more of a photograph than the space they stand in. They cast a shadow across the ground, appear in the window behind them, block whatever they are standing in front of, and often supply the reason the picture is framed the way it is. Taking them out means dealing with all of that, and the leftovers — a shadow with nobody attached, a bench that does not line up — are what make an emptied photograph look edited.
Remove Product Reflection
A glossy product photographed in a room contains the room. You see the softbox as a bright rectangle, the window as a pale slab, the tripod as a dark stripe, and quite often the photographer in a crouch. All of that is unwanted. But the same physics that put the room in the picture also put the highlights there, and the highlights are how a viewer knows the thing is ceramic rather than chalk, or steel rather than gray plastic. Removing reflections without removing shine is the whole job, and tools that do not distinguish them return a product made of nothing.
Remove Scratches
Scratches, creases, and dust are damage to the surface of a print rather than to the scene it recorded. That makes them a good candidate for repair: the model can be asked to rebuild a narrow line of missing emulsion using the picture on either side of it. This pass is deliberately restrained, and it always produces the same result for the same photograph, which is a decision worth explaining rather than a limitation to work around.
Remove Text
There are two kinds of text in a picture and only one of them should go. A caption laid over the top is an addition to the photograph. A shop sign, a book cover, a road marking, or a number plate is part of what was photographed. To you the difference is obvious. To a model reading a flat grid of pixels, both are simply lettering, and telling them apart is a judgment it makes from context rather than a distinction it can see.
Remove Wires
Every other removal on this site asks a model to invent something substantial. This one barely does. A wire is a few pixels thick, crosses a surface with no detail in it, and hides almost nothing behind it — so the reconstruction is a strip of sky beside a strip of sky. That makes it the most dependable cleanup here, and it puts the entire risk in one place: the few points where a cable meets a building.
Remove Wrinkles
Lines on a face are not marks that landed on it. They are where the skin folds when the muscles underneath contract, which means they sit exactly along the paths that expression travels. Delete them and you have not removed a flaw, you have removed the record of a person having smiled and frowned and squinted for decades, and the face left behind reads as blank rather than young.
Repair Torn Photo
Every other restoration page on this site recovers something that is still on the paper. This one does not, because a tear means the paper is gone and with it everything that was printed there. Nothing can be recovered from an absence. What comes back is the model's account of what would plausibly have been there, which is a useful thing and a completely different thing, and the distinction matters most exactly where people care most.
Replace Background
People assume a composite gives itself away at the outline, so they spend their effort on the cutout. It is almost never the outline. A flawless cutout of someone lit by an office window, dropped onto a beach at sunset, is wrong within a fifth of a second — the light is coming from the wrong side, the colors do not agree, and nothing from the new place is landing on them. Lighting is what sells a composite, and lighting is not an edge problem.
Restore Black & White Photos
A model asked politely to leave a photograph monochrome will mostly leave it monochrome, and then one run in twenty comes back with a faint blue in the shadows or a warmth in the skin that nobody requested. Asking is not a guarantee. This workflow ends by discarding two of the three color channels, so a hue the model invents has nowhere to go and the result is gray by construction.
Restore Damaged Photo
The model looking at your upload does not know it is looking at a print. It sees one flat picture in which some lines are wires and some lines are creases, some patches are shade and some patches are water stains, and nothing marks which is which. Everything this page does well and everything it gets wrong follows from that single fact, so it is worth reading before you decide what to send it.
Restore Old Photo
An old print is rarely broken. Nothing has been torn off it and nothing has been drawn on it — the picture is all still there, only weaker, because the dyes that carry it have been slowly reacting with light and air since the day it was made. That makes fading a different problem from damage, with a different failure mode, and this page is tuned for it specifically.
Room Redesign
A mood board is understood by everyone who looks at it to be aspirational. Nobody asks where to buy the sofa in a collage, because a collage announces its own status. A photorealistic render of your own living room announces the opposite: it looks like evidence, arrives with your window and your ceiling in it, and invites you to believe that the room in it is available. Nothing in it is available. It is a mood board wearing a photograph's clothes, and the borrowed credibility is the only thing about it that is dangerous.
Scan Enhancement
Scan something printed — a magazine page, a photo from a book, a leaflet — and you often get a shimmering grid of colored waves across it that was nowhere on the paper. It is tempting to treat that as dirt and reach for a cleanup tool. It is not dirt. The printed page is itself a grid of tiny dots at a fixed angle, your scanner is a second grid sampling it, and where two regular grids disagree slightly they produce a third pattern that neither of them contains. That pattern was created at the moment of scanning, and nothing downstream can subtract it cleanly.
Shopify Product Images
A marketplace suppresses a listing that breaks its image rules, which is annoying and also a favor — the standard is decided for you and enforced for free. On your own store, nothing is enforced. Every image you upload appears exactly as supplied, and the result is usually a collection page where one product is large and centerd on white, the next is small on a gray wall, and a third is a phone photo on a kitchen counter. No single image is bad. The grid is what customers actually look at, and the grid looks like a folder.
Signature Cleanup
A signature photographed on paper is useless for signing anything, because pasting it drops a white rectangle over whatever it lands on. What is needed is not a cleaner picture of the paper but the removal of the paper entirely — ink kept, everything else turned to transparency. This does that with the same background subtraction used on documents, then reuses the ink map as an alpha channel rather than flattening it to white.
Sticker Generator
A sticker leaves the screen and becomes an object, and the machine that makes it has tolerances. A cutting blade tracks your outline with roughly a millimeter of slack, sheets shift slightly as they feed, and vinyl stretches. Every one of those adds up at the edge, which is why the thick white border around a die-cut sticker is not decoration. It is the margin that absorbs the error, and a design that does not have one comes back with the artwork clipped along one side.
Studio Background
Fill the space behind a subject with one flat gray and it looks like a subject on a swatch. Real studio backdrops never do that, because a light aimed at a paper sweep makes a bright pool where it hits and falls off towards the edges of the frame — and that falloff is the entire reason the eye reads a backdrop as somewhere the subject is standing rather than as a color behind them.
Transparent PNG
A transparent PNG is an ordinary image with a fourth channel that records how opaque each pixel is. This tool runs a segmentation model over your photo, uses the result as that fourth channel, and hands back a PNG at the original pixel dimensions. The mask is the whole job, so the page below is mostly about how to look at one — where soft edges go wrong, why a result that looks perfect on white can look wrong everywhere else, and which images are not worth attempting.
Virtual Try-On
Fit is a relationship between two sets of measurements, and a photograph contains neither of them. It does not know your chest, your inside leg, or the length of your arms, and it does not know the garment's grade, its ease, or how the fabric was cut. What a try-on renders is a plausible drape, produced by a model that has seen a great many photographs of clothed people. Plausible drape is worth something. It is not the answer to the question that made you press the button.
Wall Repaint
Photograph a wall painted in a single color and sample it in a hundred places and you will get a hundred readings. It is lighter near the window, warmer under the lamp, darker where a sofa blocks the light, and slightly gray in the corner where two walls meet. That variation is not noise in the photograph — it is the entire reason the wall looks like a surface in a room rather than a rectangle of color. A repaint that flattens it produces something that reads instantly as fake, without most people being able to say why.
Watercolor
Watercolor is the one painting medium defined by what it cannot do. It cannot make white, because white is the paper showing through. It cannot be corrected, because every layer only darkens. It cannot reach a deep black without going muddy. Those three limits are where its character comes from, and they decide which of your photographs will survive being repainted as one and which will come back looking washed out and vague.
WhatsApp DP
A WhatsApp profile picture is stored square and shown round. That single mismatch decides almost everything about whether yours works — a fifth of the file you download will never be visible to anybody, and the part that is visible is usually seen at the size of a fingernail in a chat list rather than full screen. This page generates at 1080 by 1080 with both of those facts assumed.
White Background
This cuts the subject out of your photo and places it on a field of pure white — 255 on all three channels, the value most marketplace listings ask for by name. It is a two-minute operation with one failure mode that is worth knowing before you start: a pale subject on pure white loses its own outline, and the whiter the subject the worse it gets. That case has a better answer, and this page names it rather than pretending it does not exist.
X Header
An X header is 1500 by 500 pixels — a three to one strip, wider and shallower than almost anything else you will design. Two things decide whether it works, and neither is what the image looks like on its own. One is that a circular avatar punches into its lower left. The other is that a large share of your audience will see it against a dark page, where a bright edge turns the whole thing into a pasted rectangle.
YouTube Thumbnail Generator
A thumbnail is designed at 1280 by 720 and seen at about 210 by 118. Almost every mistake in thumbnail design comes from judging it at the size you made it rather than the size it appears in a feed. This generates a 1280 by 720 background from a reference image with a single clear focal point and space left for text, and it deliberately does not write the text itself.

Remove what should not be in the picture — objects, blemishes, noise, compression damage, an unwanted background.
Background Remover
Make a flat, connected image background transparent without uploading the image or using a black-box subject model. This browser-local remover samples the top-left pixel, follows neighboring pixels, and clears colors within your chosen tolerance. It is a useful fit for logos, icons, screenshots, scanned signatures, and product graphics photographed against a uniform surface. It is deliberately not marketed as a person cutout tool: hair, shadows, gradients, and backgrounds that touch the subject need a different segmentation method.
Blur Image Online
Blur a selected region of a photo or screenshot. Draw a rectangle over a face, address, license plate, ID number, or other private area and download a new PNG with that area softened. The operation is manual by design: it does not claim to detect every face or number plate, and it does not quietly decide which content is sensitive, because a rectangle may miss moving subjects, edges, reflections, or duplicated information, inspect the entire exported image before sharing it. For strong secrecy, crop or remove sensitive pixels rather than relying on a reversible-looking blur.
EXIF Remover
Re-encode a photo without carrying its EXIF metadata into the new file. That removes GPS coordinates, camera model, lens information, orientation tags and capture time before you attach the image to a listing, message, report or public post. The image is processed on our server and deleted within 30 minutes; the original on your device is never modified.
SVG Optimizer
Clean common non-rendering overhead from SVG markup before placing an icon, logo, illustration, or exported vector into a website. Reduce it to a tenth in one operation and it samples too sparsely to see what it skipped, so a striped shirt turns into a moiré pattern, fine text breaks up, and a detailed texture becomes noise. Doing the same reduction in a few steps averages the whole way down and arrives somewhere visibly cleaner, for no extra effort on your part — it is simply what a good resizer does under the surface.
Batch Upscaler
Two operations share the word upscale. One redistributes the pixels you have across a larger grid, which is arithmetic — reliable, instant, and incapable of adding anything. The other synthesises detail that was never captured, using a model that has learned what detail of that kind usually looks like, which is a guess that happens to be very good. The first can be run across four hundred files without looking. The second produces four hundred confident inventions, and somebody has to look at all of them.
Center Product
Put a mug with a handle exactly in the middle of a frame by measurement and it will look pushed to one side, because the handle carries less visual weight than the body and your eye balances mass rather than bounding boxes. The same is true of a bottle with a long neck, a shoe pointing one way, and almost any object that is not symmetrical. Centering by arithmetic is easy and produces a grid that looks subtly wrong; centering by eye takes ten seconds per product and produces one that looks composed.
Circle Crop
Turns any photo into a round image with genuinely transparent corners, ready to drop onto a slide, a website, or a team page without a white square around it. The largest centerd square is taken from each image and masked to a circle, so nothing is stretched, and you can add a border in one step. Batch friendly and entirely local.
Color Picker
Choose a color visually or enter its hexadecimal value, then copy the equivalent HEX, RGB, and HSL strings for CSS, design notes, documentation, or a component theme. The preview and conversions update immediately, and everything runs in the browser. HSL is included because it makes lightness and saturation adjustments easier to reason about than editing three independent RGB channels.
Flip Image
Flip or mirror an image horizontally or vertically. A horizontal flip creates the familiar mirror effect for a selfie, logo, product shot, or scanned page; a vertical flip turns the image upside down. The result is a new PNG download, so the original file on your device remains untouched. Text in a horizontally flipped image will also be backwards, which is sometimes useful for reflection layouts but usually wrong for documents. Check the preview before downloading and preserve the original when the direction matters.
Grayscale Image
Convert a photo or graphic to grayscale and download the result as a PNG. The effect removes color while preserving luminance relationships, which is useful for print previews, monochrome layouts, accessibility checks, study scans, and a classic black-and-white look. Processing stays on the device and the source file is not overwritten. Grayscale is not the same as pure threshold black and white: mid-tone detail remains. The output does not preserve the source's EXIF metadata, animation, or original compression settings, so keep the original for later edits.
Image Compressor

The resampling runs on our server with libvips, which uses a proper Lanczos filter rather than the bilinear scaling a browser canvas does — visible on any reduction of more than about half. A tall bottle photographed in portrait and a wide keyboard photographed in landscape cannot both be center-cropped into a square without one of them losing something. The crop takes the same proportion from every image regardless of what is in it, so the bottle keeps its label and loses its cap while the keyboard loses both ends. Fitting inside the box instead — scaling until the longest side reaches the limit and leaving space around the rest — costs nothing and cuts nothing off.
Rotate Image
Rotate a photo or graphic 90, 180 or 270 degrees and download the result as a PNG. A quarter turn is an exact operation — no pixel is resampled, so nothing softens — and no account is needed. This is useful for a sideways phone photo, a landscape scan, a screenshot with the wrong orientation, or a graphic that needs a quarter-turn before publishing.
