Two different systems store things on your device here, and only one of them asks you a question. This page says which is which. The full detail is in our privacy policy.

Advertising

Our advertising partner presents its own consent message, certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. It is the message that asks, it records your answer directly, and its own dialog is where that answer is changed — reopen it from the privacy link that message provides. We never had a certified banner of our own and did not pretend to.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which tools are worth keeping. Until 3 September 2026 this page carried an Accept/Decline control for it. That control has been removed, and it is fairer to say plainly why than to leave it looking like a choice: it had been configured to load analytics for everyone who did not actively decline, so for almost everybody it changed nothing. Your browser’s own controls — blocking third-party cookies, or any content blocker — do stop it, and nothing on this site works differently if you use them.

Neither of those

A counter records that a tool ran. It sets no cookie, stores no identifier and cannot be tied to you or to another visit. It is how we know which of 480 tools deserve the work, and it is why nothing here needs an account.
